Soroca - Gipsy City on the river Dniester
About This Experience
Soroca - a beautiful northern Moldovan town, situated on the right coast of the Nistru river, thus beautiful views are guaranteed! Maybe Soroca is not the most famous attraction of Moldova and very few people visit it, but if you are one of those "different" - then this option is best for you! There are 3 main areas of Soroca, which worth visiting: - Medieval Fortress ( now on reconstruction) - Candle of Gratitude - Gypsy Hill. Let me explain those: SOROCA FORTRESS - now on reconstruction. CANDLE OF GRATITUDE Monument - is a 30 meters tall obelisk on the top of the hill, with 650 steps! The monument symbolizes gratitude to people who preserved Moldovan culture through centuries. GYPSY HILL - it is a crazy-looking architectural area of Roma people. Most of the houses look like small castles. You should see that!
